Tell us your views on plans for our buildings and how we are delivering healthcare differently

A major milestone is approaching

On 31 May 2022 the board of West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is set to approve ‘preferred option’ recommendations for the redevelopment of its hospitals in Hemel Hempstead, Watford and St Albans. This is a major milestone in our plans to provide new and better buildings in the shortest time possible.

Approved preferred options are then taken forward into the outline business case which is submitted to the government for a funding decision.

As well as papers, our board will also consider feedback from local residents and interested stakeholders. We thank everyone who has provided feedback or representations. They are now with the board for consideration.

You can watch a recording of our 6 May 2022 stakeholder update session where we set out what is in these papers.

You can find the board papers here.

From time to time we have topic groups to discuss how we are delivering healthcare in new ways and plans for our hospital buildings. We’d love to tell you more about it and have your input to help us create services and buildings that provide the best patient experience.

We also give regular updates on how we are transforming hospitals care, progressing with funding for new and improved buildings - all to provide the best hospital care for you.
