Our core services include:
- General diabetes clinics: weekly sessions for both new patients and those needing ongoing support.
- Specialist diabetes clinics:
- Adolescent and young adult clinics - specialised care for younger patients with diabetes is available at all locations.
- Antenatal clinics - special clinics for pregnant women with diabetes.
- Insulin pump clinics - support for those using insulin pumps is provided at Watford General Hospital
- Endocrine clinics - these clinics offer weekly appointments for a range of hormone-related health issues.
- Nurse-led clinics - specialist nurses provide advice, support, and telephone consultations for diabetes and endocrine patients.
- Education and support - the team run sessions to help patients and healthcare staff understand and manage diabetes and endocrine conditions better.
Herts Valley Integrated Diabetes Service
This service is provided by West Herts Hospital Trust, Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust and Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust who work together to enable adults with diabetes to self-manage effectively.
Within the team are highly trained professionals with extensive experience in providing assessment, education, and support to help you self-manage your diabetes.
