Congratulations to our voluntary services team who were shortlisted in the Helpforce Champions Awards 2023 for their Teens and Young People’s project.

Charlotte Mansell and Aga Dychton from the team are pictured representing #TeamWestHerts at the awards ceremony.

The Teens and Young People’s project was initiated to increase the number of young people volunteering for us. It has helped many young people decide on a career in the medical profession and other healthcare careers while also helping others to build their confidence, social and communication skills. Last year, 60 of our volunteers went on to study medicine and paramedic science, while others gained a job at West Herts.

The dedication of our volunteers is nothing short of commendable. See for yourself in this short film.
