Critical incident stood down

The critical incident in the emergency department (A&E) at Watford General caused by a burst waterpipe was stood down at 6.30pm on Tuesday 21 November. All services returned to normal.

If you have an urgent but not life-threatening need, please visit NHS 111 online first rather than going to A&E. NHS 111 online will be able to direct you to the most appropriate service for your needs.
