Women’s and Children’s entrance closed this August Bank Holiday weekend
Posted: 25 August 2023
We are giving the entrance to our Women’s and Children's building a makeover this weekend. We are sorry for any inconvenience but it’s all for a good cause.
We are working to make the space more welcoming for our patients and provide a better environment for staff with upgraded lighting, new flooring and an improved reception area.
Please note the main entrance will be closed from 7pm Friday 25 August to 6am Tuesday 29 August and the following changes will be in place:
- Entrance to the Women’s and Children’s building will be via the Ophthalmology entrance. Clear signage will show you where to go.
- There will be fewer car parking bays outside the Women’s and Children’s building as some bays are reserved for ambulances.
- Visiting hours will remain as normal over the bank holiday weekend.
- Please limit paediatric visits to parents or guardians only.
- Visits to Katherine ward are strictly limited to two visitors. Sibling visiting is allowed between 3.30pm and 6pm.
There will be clear signage and extra security staff to guide you through alternative routes to wards.
Thank you for your understanding.
