The course is set for a transformational redesign of health and hospital services in west Hertfordshire. We have plans to provide services and buildings which are designed to improve your experience as a patient, carer or member of staff. Our vision is to meet the health needs of all the communities we serve in west Hertfordshire. All the information you read here is focused on achieving that.

It was announced in September 2019 that the trust was in line to receive government capital funding to help redevelop its buildings and facilities. We are now a ‘pathfinder' in the New Hospital Programme. This is the biggest hospital building programme in a generation and we are delighted that our plans are part of this ambition.

It is also a unique chance to be at the forefront of national efforts to transform how healthcare is provided for local people, as set out in the NHS Long Term Plan.

The needs of the local population are changing and greater integration of services and use of digital technology is a priority in delivering better care to patients.

We would very much like to hear from you about how we can improve your hospital experience and make our buildings the best they can be.

Find out how you can get involved. Read all the latest in our news page and find answers to frequently asked questions in our A-Z.
