New coffee shops opening at Watford General Hospital
Posted: 18 January 2023
Patients and staff will benefit from TWO brand new coffee shops opening at Watford General Hospital this year run by Peabodys Coffee Ltd.
A contemporary takeaway café, located in the main hospital entrance, is due to open by the end of March. This will offer organic Fairtrade coffee, a range of hot drinks, Italian style ciabattas, paninis, soups, salads and healthy snacks.
The second café, with a larger seating area, will open in the car park retail hub later this year. Serving a wider range of meals, including handmade pastas cooked each day, it will provide a relaxing area for staff and visitors to enjoy a leisurely bite to eat.
In the meantime, a temporary site is due to open on Thursday 19 January (next to the outpatients waiting area, main hospital building, level 2). Whilst this will offer a reduced selection, there will be expertly made coffee, a selection of delightful pastries and Italian ciabattas to get staff, patients and visitors through the day!
