Biography
Joshua Franklyn is a consultant robotic general and colorectal surgeon working in West Hertfordshire teaching Hospital, UK. He completed his Masters in General Surgery from the prestigious Christian Medical College Vellore, India and was subsequently appointed as Assistant Professor in General Surgery in 2015. He was elected fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2020. He undertook a fellowship in the renowned Basingstoke Peritoneal Malignancy institute, to focus on the management of advanced and recurrent colorectal cancer and peritoneal surface malignancies. He subsequently completed robotic colorectal training as a Royal College fellow in Sunderland and Oxford. He has published and presented numerous research papers and authored multiple chapters in surgical textbooks. Joshua is passionate about robotic colorectal surgery and its role in improving patient outcomes; especially those with bowel cancer.
