The pharmacy department is a friendly and caring environment with over 100 staff from diverse backgrounds, that provides a service to patients seven days a week.
Within the department, there are many exciting and varied opportunities to join the team as a pharmacist, pharmacy technician, or pharmacy assistant.
For certain roles, specific prior qualifications are essential, but for others, basic qualifications are required but more important is enthusiasm and motivation!

The department is committed to developing for the future including advancing new roles, supporting innovative services, and investing in new digital technologies to improve patient care and staff experience. We have recently implemented an electronic prescribing system, has a dispensing robot, and is continuing to expand the use of automated medicine cabinets at a ward level.
