We offer video consultations to some of our patients. The decision to offer this type of appointment will be made by a medical professional depending on your individual care needs.
What is a video consultation?
A video consultation is an appointment with a healthcare professional carried out using a computer, laptop or web enabled smart phone. You can and be at home, or anywhere quiet, private and comfortable. You don't have to come into hospital.
You and your healthcare professional will be able to see and hear each other using a secure online video service.
Video calling is simple and free to use when connected to WIFI, with the added value of face-to-face communication.
It can save you time and money too, as you will not need to travel to one of our hospitals.
A video consultation may be helpful if you find it difficult to travel to hospital. They are also helpful if you feel more comfortable talking about your health in your own home.

For our video consultations, we use a system called Attend Anywhere. If you have not used this system before, we have detailed instructions on how it works and what you need to do.
