Booking a blood test
You need to book an appointment for a blood test at any of our hospital sites. This reduces waiting times and overcrowding, particularly at peak times.
Blood tests are available at Watford General, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans City hospitals
Blood tests requested by West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, the Virtual Hospital, or after a telephone consultation with a clinician should be booked through the online system. A blood form is not required for these appointments.
If the request is same-day or urgent, an appointment is not mandatory but is recommended whenever possible.
Telephone booking
For patients unable to book online, telephone booking is available on 01727 897376 (Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm).
