Q. Will I be provided with a uniform?

A. Yes you will be provided with ID Badge and a polo shirt.

Q. Can I take long holidays?

A. Yes, as you are a volunteer you are not contractually obliged however we do ask for you to inform us when taking holidays for our records.

A. Please contact the Voluntary Service Coordinators who will listen to your questions and try to give you an answer or them.

Q. What is a DBS?

A. A Disclosure and Barring Service check (previously known as a CRB) is a record of an individual's convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings normally held on police systems.

Q. Why do I have to complete all the online trainings before having my first shift?

A. Yes, online training is an essential part of the role as it includes important pieces of information about health and safety, infection control, and food safety. We strongly believe a well-trained, competent volunteer is much more likely to thrive in their role than one who lacks confidence, does not feel part of the team, and gets stressed due to lack of adequate training.
