Ajitha trained at St.George's Hospital Medical School, London and completed her specialist training in the West Midlands Deanery. She completed an MD in Asthma and Allergy in 2009 at Guys Hospital and has published and presented work from her research at national and international meetings. She was appointed to her first consultant post at King George Hospital, Essex in 2009.
Ajitha was appointed as Consultant at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in 2016. She is the TB Lead Physician and the National COPD audit lead at WHHT. She regularly attends and presents at national and international meetings on TB and asthma. She manages patients with all aspects of respiratory disease as well as general medical problems. Her interests include asthma, allergic rhinitis, COPD, TB, sarcoid, chronic cough and breathlessness.
