Background

Professional Profile

In leading the department through the recent expansion, I am genuinely optimistic about the future. Recent developments, including the recruitment of four new consultants, mean we are well placed to deliver high quality, patient-centred care.

On-going plans for the department include the expansion of our already successful EBUS/EUS service, the evolution of our ambulatory pleural service to include medical thoracoscopy, the development of our sub-specialty outpatient services including sleep medicine and domiciliary NIV and the establishment of a respiratory/medical HDU to support the acute services at West Herts.
