Background:
Professional profile:
I graduated from St Bartholomew’s and Royal London Medical School in 2005. Whilst there I also completed a BMedSci in Molecular Therapeutics. I trained mostly within the London area.
I formally pursued an interest in Paediatric emergency Medicine when he gained a Training number to sub specialise and subsequently trained at emergency departments at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as well as the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at St Marys Hospital, Paddington.
Since Starting at Watford General Hospital in January 2016 I have played an active role with the team in helping to develop the Paediatric Emergency Department Service and its identity.
All to ensure the hospital can offer the best possible care in a timely manner to all children irrespective of when they present or which member of the team they see. This involves being a mentor, clinical and educational supervisor to junior doctors and nurses as well as having key roles in governance structure such as managing clinical incidences, establishing local guidelines, being Paediatric Trauma lead, Paediatric Emergency Audit lead and Paediatric Lead for the Urgent Care Centre at Hemel Hempstead and Minor Injury Unit at St Albans.
In my role as part of PERUKI I have been the local Principal Investigator and co-investigator for national research trials, helping recruit patients locally.
Personal profile:
I believe all children, irrespective of whatever front door they come through, are entitled to the same high standard of care. I spend most of my free time being happily outnumbered by my wife and three young daughters. One day I am certain I will return to my pursuits of reading, painting, martial arts and travelling beyond the M25.
