Gynaecology Day Assessment Unit
The Service
Ms Shikha Kapur leads the Early Pregnancy unit (EPU) and Gynaecology
day assessment unit (GDAU) Service. This is located on the ground floor of
the maternity unit and is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
The service caters for approximately 5,000 women per year, who are
currently referred by either their GP or from A&E. We do not accept
self-referrals. We offer assessment, consultation and where appropriate an
ultrasound scan to manage any early pregnancy or acute gynaecological problems.
