Pathology
The Pathology laboratory across the sites provides a comprehensive diagnostic testing and consultant advisory service for the scientific disciplines of Cellular Pathology( Histology, Diagnostic Cytology & Andrology), Chemical Pathology, Haematology and Blood Transfusion, Immunology and Microbiology. Phlebotomy for GP and Hospital patients, Clinical Haematology, Clinical Immunology, and anticoagulation services are also provided. The Department also acts as a point of contact for specialist Laboratory services.
St Albans provides phlebotomy for GP and hospital patients,
anticoagulant clinics, and a limited laboratory service in support of on-site
clinical services.
Mortuary and body store facilities are on the Hemel Hempstead and
Watford sites.
