There are no walk-in Phlebotomy services at the weekends or on bank holidays. Glucose Tolerance Tests (GTT) booked by appointment only (Contact Details on Request Form).
Paediatrics over 5 only at Watford 07:30 – 14:30, Monday to
Friday.
Paediatrics over 5 only at Hemel Hempstead/St Albans 08.30 – 14:30,

Last tickets are issued 30 minutes prior to the documented closing time for the particular hospital phlebotomy unit so that staff can process any patients who are already have tickets. Occasionally, when there is heavy demand and/or low staff availability it may be necessary to withdraw tickets earlier than 30 minutes prior to the normal closing time (this will only be done in exceptional circumstances).
Patients presenting for Anticoagulation Clinic appointments and GTT testing will be prioritised where practicable.
Paediatric Phlebotomy
An adult must accompany any child attending the clinic.
