Professional Profile
I qualified from Guys and St Thomas’ Medical School in 2003. I trained in cardiology in North West London and have undertaken training in all aspects of advanced cardiac imaging. I have completed three years of sub-specialist training in cardiac imaging as part of the prestigious Imperial and the Royal Brompton fellowships.
My academic interests lie in population based genomics and epidemiology.
I completed my PHD in 2013, during which I investigated genetic and environmental factors determining the increased risk of type-2 diabetes amongst South Asians compared to Europeans.
I have presented at several national and international meetings, and our work was published in multiple high ranking scientific journals.
My clinical interests are heart failure, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, and all forms of cardiac imaging.
