Professional Profile:
I am a consultant cardiologist at West Hertfordshire NHS Trust, specialising in advanced imaging (Echo, stress echo, Transoesophageal echo and cardiac CT) as well as permanent pacemaker implantation.
I completed my core medical training through the North London rotation, obtaining MRCP in 2010. I was awarded MD (Research) by Imperial College London in 2015. The work was supported by a Research Council UK fellowship. The study involved Cardiac CT, Nuclear myocardial perfusion imaging and echocardiography.
My initial cardiology training including cardiac imaging was at Harefield Hospital as an imaging fellow before moving to the East of England deanery for SpR training. I trained at busy District General Hospitals before moving to the high- volume Essex cardiothoracic centre. I gained experience in advanced imaging including stress echo (for ischemia and dynamic valve studies), Trans-oesophageal echo and Cardiac CT as well as in pacemaker implantation during this time.
