Professional Profile:

Dr Hadjiloizou graduated from University College London Medical School and trained in the North West London region including St Mary’s Hospitals, Hammersmith and Harefield Hospitals. He was awarded a British Heart Foundation Research Fellowship for his work on coronary physiology and completed his thesis with a PhD at Imperial College. He has published in international journals, presented in international annual meetings such as the American Heart Association, European Society of Cardiology and the British Society of Cardiology. He was awarded the Young Investigator prize in the international meeting of Artery Research in 2007.

Dr Hadjiloizou provides advice and management on all aspects of cardiology including angina, valve disease, hypertension, atrial fibrillation and arrhythmia. His clinical subspecialty is coronary intervention and performs PCI at both Watford General Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital where he participates in the 24/7 Heart Attack PPCI

Personal Profile

Dr Hadjiloizou is married with three children. He was a keen athlete and held national records (Cyprus) in 100m, 200m and 4x100m and was a European Champion in under 18s. He is a keen sportsman and plays football and tennis regularly. He enjoys both summer and winter sports and holds the Duke of Edinburgh bronze, silver and gold awards.
