It is often thought that Chaplains are concerned only with religion, and particularly as it relates to the end of life. But that is only a part of our work. We provide the following resources for staff:
- Pastoral care for you: providing a friendly listening ear at times of stress
- Staff support through the Harassment Adviser network
- Training and Education in these areas:
- Care of palliative and terminal patients
- Understanding the impact of loss
- Care of the dying and their relatives
- Clinical Ethics
- The emotional effects of sudden death
- Looking after yourself
