Qualified from Trinity College Dublin 1981 and trained in Haematology at St Mary’s, Charing Cross and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals, London from 1984. I held a research post John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford 1987-1991 and a CCST 1994. I was a Consultant Haematologist Ealing Hospital 1996-2009 before coming to West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
