My name is Dr Ratna Makker and I am the Clinical Director for the West Herts Initiative in Simulation Education and Research (WiSER).

Striving towards a gold standard in Simulation based education I’m privileged to be the CD of WISER.

As an anaesthetist I believe my specialty has been at the forefront of patient safety and risk aversion.

Simulation lends itself beautifully to understand concepts of crisis resource management and Human factors.

I hope using debriefing as a powerful learning resource we can influence mindsets of individuals passing through our state of the art simulation centre.

Finally in the words of Dewey Education is not preparation for life, it is life itself!
