Our sim family

Edith

Hello there, I’m Edith and I’m 76 years old, but I am brand new to the Trust. I arrived in 2020.

Rodger

Hiya, I’m Rodger and I’m the old guy of the group. I’ve been around since 2005 and I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. Before Cedric, I was the bee’s knees, but I’m still going! I normally help out on Preceptorship days or when Intensive Care needs someone to practise airway skills on. I’m really good at that.

Sally

I’m Sally and I travel all over the Trust! The Sim Team take me everywhere and I get into all sorts of predicaments. Luckily for me the Trust has wonderful staff that helps me out and makes sure I’m good to go for the next session.

I’ve been in the Trust since 2015 and I’m as good as new!

Cedric

My name is Cedric and I’m a staple here in the Simulation Suite of WHHT. I see all of the junior doctors, medical students and even some of the nurses. They help me out whenever I get myself in a pickle.

I’ve been with the Trust since 2016 and boy do I have some stories I could tell. But I won’t, because confidentiality is our number one priority!

Lucina

Hi, I don’t have a name yet, but I’m 9 months pregnant. As you can imagine, I really would like to deliver this baby as quickly as possible, but it doesn’t always go to plan. That’s why the maternity team here at WHHT help me.

I’m new to the Trust and joined in 2020.

Deeba

Hi, I’m Deeba and I’m 9 years old. I go to Primary School nearby and often have to come into hospital because I’m very clumsy. The doctors and nurses in Children’s Emergency always make me feel so much better and they probably calm mum down a bit too.

I’ve been in the Trust since 2019!

Bertie

Hello, I’m Bertie and I’m 4 years old. I’ve been in the Trust since 2018 and I’m always so clumsy! I’m normally on the Children’s wards being looked after by the Physios, Doctors and Nurses – they always take great care of me.

Frankie

I’m Frankie and I’m 1 year old, but my mum says I’m 12 months - I don’t really know the difference. I tumble around quite a lot and end up in Children’s Emergency and sometimes I even get to stay in the fancy Simulation Suite.

Even though I’m 1, I joined the family in 2020, so I’m quite new.

Daisy

Hello, my name is Daisy and I’m a new-born! I usually spend my time helping the doctors and nurses up in the Special Care Baby Unit at Watford General Hospital.

Although I’m only a few days old, I’ve actually been with the Trust since 2013.

Archie

Hi, I’m Archie, but I was named Archie before the Royal Baby! I’ve been in the Trust since 2018 even though I’m only a few days old.

I help out down in Children’s Emergency so the nurses and doctors can practice some of their skills looking after me.
