Sim Family

We use equipment and furniture in the simulation suite to make it as realistic as possible. This includes bedside cabinets, patient chairs realistic or physiological manikins and even family photos!

VR

Maybe the most exciting advancement for healthcare training is the introduction of virtual reality equipment to the NHS. Donated to the Trust by HEEoE, we use this for our Foundation Year Doctors for now, but who knows what the future will hold?

Anaesthetic & Surgical

We try to use the same equipment as the departments, but if we can't get our hands on that, we get very close versions of it! For example, we have a fully working anaesthetic machine and even a set of surgical instruments.

Trauma

Working closely with A&E we have developed our emergency scenarios and also built up a collection of trauma equipment.

iSimulate

The iSimulate monitoring is used for in situ simulation to show observations. This can be used with standardised patients or manikins.

Sim Sleeves

These realistic moulage sleeves are used to make scenarios more realistic. These can be worn by standardised patients (actors/role players) or manikins.

Patient Beds

We use the same equipment found in our hospital, this includes the same patient beds.
