Aoife O'Dowd

Aoife graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) in physiotherapy.

Aoife is a senior physiotherapist at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS trust where she specialises in women's health and musculoskeletal disorders. She is trained in Pilates, acupuncture and manipulation and treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. In terms of her women's health expertise, she treats ante-natal and post-natal conditions such as pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain, bladder and bowel conditions such as urinary incontinence, over active bladder, faecal urgency or incontinence and many more.

Aoife also has experience in treating post-operative breast conditions.

Aoife has developed skills in scar management, cording care and upper limb rehabilitation. Aoife enjoys collaborating with her patients, to engage them in their rehabilitation, by setting patient centred goals that aim to enable return to function.

Aoife's passion lies in helping her patients return to activity levels in particular those patients post breast surgery, childbirth and sports injuries.
