Who can be treated privately?

Anyone can be treated privately, either through medical insurance or by paying directly; however, in most cases you need to be referred by your GP. Contact our team for further details.

Where does the private treatment take place?

We are based at the West Hertfordshire Therapy Unit, Jacketts Field, Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire, WD5 0PA

When can I come for my appointment?

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday late afternoon/evenings (from 4pm onwards). We will do our best to offer you an appointment to suit your needs.

How do I book my appointment?

How and when do I pay?

  • Patient payments can be made by Credit/Debit card to the cashiers department by telephone, or by direct bank transfer (details will be on the invoice) quoting the reference/invoice number
  • If you are insured the trust will invoice your insurance company.

Can I use my private medical cover?

Yes we are able to offer treatment for some medical insurance companies. Please check with your specific insurer that they will cover treatment at the West Hertfordshire Therapy Unit prior to booking your first appointment.

Do you treat children?

Yes, we are able to assess and treat children over eight years old.

What do I do if I have symptoms of coronavirus or have to isolate for any given reason?

If you have any symptoms of coronavirus or have to isolate for any given reason then please contact the Private Physiotherapy Service on 07776964161 and inform us of this.

You will be able to rearrange your appointment or if a face to face appointment, we may be able to change the appointment to a virtual appointment if you feel well enough, and it is deemed suitable to do so.
