The festive season officially kicked-off at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust when two stars from Watford Football Club flicked the switch to light up the Christmas tree at Watford General Hospital.

Christian Kabasele, Walford FC defender, and Helen Ward, the Watford FC women’s team captain, joined chief executive, Christine Allen, to start the festivities.
Christine also visited the trust’s other hospital sites to turn on the Christmas tree lights at Hemel Hempstead Hospital and St Albans City hospital. Watch the festivities here.

The trees were kindly donated by Mitie and Hygienic Contracts to say thanks to all the wonderful staff who’ve worked so hard to look after patients over the past year.

The trust is also grateful for all the chocolates generously donated for staff over the festive season by a number of suppliers, including SW Bruce Limited, McAlisters Limited, Fildier, Gilmartins Limited, Hamlet Electrical, HBB Electrical, ADT and Vinci.
