Professional profile:

 Mr Hollingshead is a general surgeon with a specialist interest in coloproctology. His medical degree was the university of Oxford and Guy’s and St Thomas’ medical schools. He undertook surgical training in North West London, and subsequent subspecialty training both at St Mark’s hospital and through a dedicated fellowship in laparoscopic colorectal surgery in Colchester.

Mr Hollingshead’s main surgical interests are in laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer and for inflammatory bowel disease.  He has contributed to research on colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, functional bowel disorders, and perianal disease. He is active in medical education, and is the editor of a large operative surgical text book.
