Background:

Professional profile

I am a trained specialist in gastroenterology, liver and pancreatic disease at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. I enjoy all aspects of gastroenterology and have a sub-speciality interest in liver and pancreatic disease. I perform general endoscopy and colonoscopy as well as the more specialist procedures endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). In addition, I undertake Liver Fibroscans.

I studied medicine at Oxford University (1995 to 2001). My registrar training was undertaken in London at the Hammersmith, St Mary’s and Charing Cross Hospitals where I developed an interest in liver disease. I completed a PhD studying the biomarkers of liver cancer at Imperial College London and then spent a year at King’s College and the Royal London Hospitals Liver units. I then undertook a one year fellowship in ERCP and EUS at the Hammersmith Hospital.

Personal profile

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and enjoy playing tennis.
