The role of the Infection Prevention and Control team
- The Trust has a knowledgeable Infection Prevention and Control team whose
responsibility is to educate, support and advise on matters relating to
Infection Prevention and Control.
- Each ward / department has pro-active Infection Prevention and Control link
staff
- Each ward / department has an Infection Prevention and Control notice board
that contains Infection Prevention and Control information for patients and
visitors
- The Trust has a robust Infection Prevention and Control training & education
programme for all staff
- Infection rates are monitored on an on-going basis
- Infection Prevention and Control policies are in place.
- To reduce the spread of infection to other patients within our care
