Baby Changing Facilities and Breast Feeding Facilities
West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust believes that breastfeeding is the healthiest way for a woman to feed her baby and recognises the important health benefits now known to exist for both mother and her child.
All of our hospitals offer baby changing and breastfeeding facilities. See the list below.
At Hemel Hempstead Hospital:
- Baby changing amenities are provided in the x-ray department
- Baby changing facilities are available in fracture clinic
- Facilities are available within the urgent treatment centre
- A room is available in the paediatric outpatient department
- The main outpatient department offers rooms for baby changing and breastfeeding
At St Albans City Hospital:
- Baby changing facilities are available in the minor injuries unit
- A baby changing and play room is available within the main outpatient department; should the mother prefer more privacy a small clinical room would be offered
At Watford General Hospital:
- A room is available in the paediatric outpatients department
- Within maternity services in the ante-natal department
- The main outpatients department provides rooms for baby changing and breastfeeding
- Fracture clinic – clinic rooms are offered on request
