picture of an alert sign Patient transport services – update 2 October 2017

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) is the new caretaker provider of non-emergency patient transport in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Luton. Private Ambulance Service, the previous provider, closed down last week.

During this transitional period, priority for transport is going to patients who are being discharged from hospital or are attending appointments for cancer treatment or dialysis. We are contacting patients who have more routine outpatient appointments to discuss alternative transport arrangements.

EEAST has set up a call centre for patients who are attending appointments this week and would like to confirm a booking. Please contact 01603 481 208.
