Foundation Trust Application
» Consultation Response
What you told us!
Our public consultation ran between 22 September 2008 and 20 February 2009 asking people for their views on our 5 proposals. Feedback from the consultation revealed:
- Just under 80% supported our plan to apply for Foundation Trust status
- 64% supported our proposal to start membership at age 16
- 78% agreed that we should have Public and Staff Members
- 77% supported our plan to have Public Governors represent Members from Constituencies
- 67% agreed that Public Governor seats should be allocated according to the number of patient referrals from each constituency
Further outcomes:
- Harpenden is now a separate Constituency from St Albans (St Albans now has 2 Public Governor seats, Harpenden has 1)
- The Eastern Deanery were removed as a Stakeholder Governor
Overall, all of our 5 proposals were broadly supported and we received some valuable comments and suggestions that have been incorporated into our future plans for our Foundation Trust application.
