Background

Professional profile

I obtained my primary medical qualification from Pretoria, South Africa in 2000. I have been fortunate to work in Namibia and in the Western Cape as a junior doctor. I started my surgical career in the United Kingdom in 2003. I completed my basic surgical training at Guys and St Thomas’s Hospital in London before starting my urology training in the London Deanery.

I have been involved in research on the use of botulinum toxin in idiopathic detrusor overactivity and have published work on the use of botulinum toxin in overactive bladder, prostate cancer markers and robotic pelvic and partial nephrectomy surgery. I was trained in general urology, reconstructive urology, pelvic oncology, stone surgery and upper urinary tract laparoscopy..

Personal profile

I am married and have a beautiful family with three boys. I near St Albans and enjoy running, mountain biking, golf and squash. As a spectator I take great pleasure in rugby, cricket and athletics.
